Students may need someone to talk with in confidence and help with issues which may arise in the course of the academic year. This college provides a confidential personal mental health counselling service free of charge.

Meabh Nimmo and Derek Ball our college Guidance Counsellors can provide one-to-one personal counselling for anxiety, stress and day to day issues that arise during the academic year.

If you feel that you would benefit from this service, below are some ways in which you can access it:

  • Speak with your Mentor who can refer you to this service

  • Or click the Make an Appointment button above to refer yourself and arrange a booking with our counsellors who contact you to arrange an initial meeting.

Booking appointment will be available after Monday 21st of September (week of first classes)

Prolonged Psychotherapy Sessions

Maria Parker is our Mental Health Counsellor, she is a qualified Mental Health Nurse and Psychotherapist. As a nurse she spent 17 years working in CAMHS. She can provide one-to-one appointments for deeper more prolonged issues throughout the academic year such as Depression, Anxiety, Self-Esteem and Relationship Issues.
